Hi Coen, Paul and Wayne,
You've given me way too many alternatives :-) In an ideal world I'd swap
my '53 windscreen for the correct '52 and fit Lucas motors, but I don't
want to think about the mechanics and cost of getting the necessary bits
shipped over, so that means finding a Mitsuba or an equivalent (which
leave the Lucas motors for Wayne and others). My inclination is to
purchase one each of the German motor and an old Mitsuba, first on the
chance that the German motor is newer and perhaps better designed, and
second because I know the Mitsuba will fit with no problems and give me
spares for the other two.
To answer Paul's question, I'm willing to pay up to 50 euros for a good
Mitsuba motor (working, no stress cracks or broken teeth on the output
gear, cosmetically clean) plus reasonable P&P to the US.
Meanwhile, Coen, if you can acquire the German substitute for me it would
be much appreciated.
Thanks, guys.
