Hi Coen,

Due to the lengthy period of storage prior to issue and the ungoverned
attention of Belgian Army motor pool sergeants after, there are many local
variations in the accessories of the surviving Minervas :-)

Some, however, were official, and the change from Lucas wiper motors on
the '52's to Mitsuba wiper motors on the '53's is documented in the
Minerva parts list. My '52 (26631080) has a '53 windscreen, the physical
difference being the lack of the small holes either side of the central
shaft hole required for the Lucas design. Obviously, if a '52 Minerva
windscreen came available I would prefer to fit that (the Lucas motors
have the lever for manual operation which is far more amenable to wet
snow removal), but for now I would like to acquire a replacement Mitsuba
or at least the nylon output gear (mine is split) before the one good
motor also fails.

Meanwhile, it is interesting that a Bosch assembly is fitted on yours.
Does it pass through the same hole as the Mitsuba? It might be easier to
find and possibly a more reliable design than the ancient Mitsuba.

Thanks for the information and, if your breaker has a good Mitsuba or
equivalent Bosch I'd be very interested.
