George,

I did visit my local breaker, (called Ron).

If you fancy the Japanese items, ask opperduit, but:

He has a wiper motor with no makings except made in Germany, witch he 
sells for 25 euros. I presume the motor will fit.
He also has old Lucas units,  in working (very) used condition, not 
beautiful, witch he sells for 50 euros a piece.

Are those Lucas units restorable? (I have a windscreen with the holes 
for the lucas wiper motors;-))
