This problem was on the list before George, and in this case a picture 
will mean a lot more than a verbal description and help the supplier 
find what you need.
The first generation of distributors had the larger diameter base and 
side entry for the wires.  Published "used between" dates, are only 
approximate, and the factory used what was in the parts bin.  The guys 
at Solihull never gave a passing thought to what was "correct for the 
year" and that is why there are so many differences in specification.
