Dont worry about the car its more than capabul of doing the trip. If you
are not sure about something get it checked before you go. We were faced
with the same problem when we went across the desert in West Australia
last year .Mainly sand dunes 900 of them and dirt tracks. The cars went
as well as anything out there, we split the parts we thought we might
need between us and I would say 99% came back unused. The problems which
did stop one car, a stripped steering nut on an 80" was solved with an A
frame made from 2 high lift jacks .A replacment sent from Perth arrived
at our refuleing point the day after we got there, well 30 ,apart from
that anything else which needed TLC was handled with the stuff one
normaly carries in the tool box.
Go and enjoy yourself, anything that happens can be adjusted to make the
story better when you get back.

Good luck

You are going to need a trailer to carry all the spares "just in case".

Another couple of options:
* work out which of the most vulnerable parts are common across all the
vehicles in the trip fleet and negotiate between yourselves who carries
one.
Then you only have to carry what is unique on your vehicle.
* Another good idea is to have your treasure trove of spares at home
accessible and easily locatable by a trusted friend - George maybe your
wife. Then if the worst happens, a phone call can Post/Fed-Ex/UPS them
to
you "at the side of the road". Just make sure that you break down in a
nice
scenic locale (or if it were Aussie blokes - near a Pub (lic Bar))

Cheers
Diana

P.S. you need to send us the pics so we can be envious.
