Ulrico,

1) Lubricate the rockers and valve gear first with a good dose of clean
engine oil. (It will take time for them to be lubricated even if the oilways
are not clogged up). 

2) Put some engine oil down the bores before turning the engine over by hand
(to give the pistons, rings and bores something of a chance.

3) Put an oil pressure gauge on the system. You should get some pressure
with a decent cranking speed. 

4) Make sure there is some petrol coming out of the carb and that the intake
is primed with a little too.

5) Consider using a shot of "Diesel engine start" - to get the engine to
fire quickly

Good luck - they will usually start!
