<P>When I take the hazard switch only from battery ( I disconnect the 15) then also both warninglights are constantly on but dimm a little bit by the relay. Also,&nbsp; you can hear the fuelpump reacting - so it´s definitly ignition power&nbsp;from somewhere in the circuit.&nbsp;</P>

<P>&nbsp;I think, I have the fault. The double circuit for the sypply power is the little wire bridge in the old flasher switch for using the controllight in the knob for both flasher sides.</P>
<P>&nbsp;1)The wire bridge must be between both flashers and then the control light flashs in the same rythm the flashers do.</P>
<P>2)When I made the wire bridge between 49a and 15 (between supply and direction indicator switch) the controllight flashs&nbsp;contrair to the&nbsp;flashers.</P>
<P>I think, I made version 2 and that´s the fault. I will test it in the garage now and take off the bridge. Then everything must work normal, without the controllight in the knob.</P>
<P>...til later</P>

<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;G'Tag Uli
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;The problem is that you are feeding +ve power back to the "Ign" switch via the hazard switch.&nbsp;&nbsp;Why you are doing this is anyone's guess.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;The hazard warning switch is usually only on "Batt" and not on "Ign".
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Are you sure that wire you are using from the "Ign" switch is for +ve power or should it be the cut out for the regular flasher unit?
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;It would be usual to cut power to the flasher when the Hazards are operating!
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;I would need to see the wiring diagram for your hazard switch to tell you more.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Cheers
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Diana

<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Hi folks, try to explain it in english.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Fact is, for registration in Germany, even as a historic vehicle, I must have hazzard lights.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;S1, 1955, 86", regular harness installation like in Workshop Manual page 250. Only thing, I changed from positive to negative earth incl. turning the ignition coil, polarize the dynamo, change the ampsterminals etc. and everything works fine incl. the flashers/heater and every single switch or light. Today the hazzard switch and new relay arrived and I built in the stuff.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;So I changed the old mechanical flasher relais into the electronical one and I install the hazzard switch. Hazzard switch has two positions for working.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;First with engine running, then he gets the power from the terminal 15(+ 15,15x,H,X,B,15a) supply power12volts from the&nbsp;&nbsp;ignition switch( I connected the wire at the double terminal ING on the backside of the ignition switch.)
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Second is with engine/ignition off. Then the hazzard switch gets the power directly from the battery ( I connect the wire at the ampsmeter, where directly the 12V come from the battery via starterbutton entry side)
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Hazzard switch works well with running engine and engine off/ignition key turned off. But in the off engine position with hazzard switch on flashers work but also the green(oilpressure) and red (ignition) warning lights burns(constant, not flashing)
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;This is not okay, because: When ignition is off and hazzardswitch gets the power directly from the battery - how is it possible, that these two warning lights are burning ? (maybe it is theoretical possible to start the engine in this position - no, I didn´t try - when the whole starting power goes through the flasher relay etc, the thing will melt and burn)
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;I controlled the whole complex ( flasherconnections to flasher switch to hazzard switch to flasher relay) three or four times. I made no mistake in connecting the three parts among themselves). The mistake must be somewhere else....
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Any ideas?
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Cheers
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Uli
